The Revd Sean Semple – Rector

Sean is our Rector, he is in charge of the ministry team and the whole Benefice. He lives in the Rectory with his wife Jenny and son Lex. Sean has recently come to us from within the diocese. Prior to 2015 he worked in the Presbyterian and Anglican Churches in South Africa, and in the Anglican Church in Cyprus. Sean was born in South Africa.
Christine Cattanach – Intergenerational Missioner | Email
Christine works to bring new congregations to St Mary’s. She also works across the family of churches we represent in Ross and beyond. She is one of seven such Missioners that Hereford Diocese have invested in to empower us to help envisage the future of our churches. Christine has a heart for mission and a passion to see church re-imagined so that all generations are represented and people are able to connect with God regardless of where they are in their faith journey.
The Revd Canon Chris Blanchard – Associate Priest (Sunday – Wednesday)

Chris is based at Walford where he lives in the Rectory, and will often be found taking services at Walford Church, but he works across the whole team. Chris works part time, from Sunday to Wednesday.
The Revd Colin Leggate – Chaplain to Commerce and Industry | Email
Colin is a retired hospital chaplain and now a member of the clergy team. He keeps the church in touch with the business community in the town where he has recently been chair of the Association of Ross Traders. He takes services quite regularly around the Benefice and is Chaplain to the local Sea Cadets.
The Revd Tiffany Jackson – Curate (from 5th July 2020)
We look forward to welcoming Tiffany as our curate. She is originally from America and has been in the UK for 8 years. She is married to Stephen, and they have a 3 year old son, Liam. She comes to Ross-on-Wye after 2 years of training at Trinity College Bristol. Before that, she ran a community centre working with north African and Middle Eastern immigrants in London. She will be ordained Deacon on the 5th July and begin her ministry with us.
Dr Derek Glover – Licensed Reader (retired) 01989 565167 | e-mail
Derek is one of our licensed readers, although technically retired, he still very much a part of our team. as such he is frequently to be found taking services around the benefice and taking responsibility for many areas of the work that goes on within it. Derek has specific responsibility for Hospital and Homes Chaplaincy, Education programmes and Safeguarding.
Canon Freda Davies – Licensed Reader

Freda is a licensed reader and takes services around the benefice. She has responsibility for some areas of the work that goes on within it. She works hard on prayer activities and organises popular activity days for local schools from time to time.
Louise Jarvis – Benefice Administrator

Louise works in the Benefice Office each week day from 09:00 – 12:00. She is often the first point of contact for enquiries.
Adrian Taylor – Organist, St Mary’s
Adrian plays the organ for most services at St Mary’s, he oversees the care of the organ and works closely with the choir. Beyond St Mary’s Adrian is the conductor of Ross-on-Wye Choral Society.
