Our Christmas Tree Festival takes place every 2 years and the next one will be in 2019. Watch this space for details later.
You can read more below about the2017 event.
The fifth Christmas Tree Festival took place at St Mary’s between 18th and 20th November 2017, timed to coincide with the town’s Christmas Fayre and switching on of the Christmas Lights. On each of the three days the church was open for people to view a church full of Christmas trees.
We had around 50 Christmas trees from all manner of organisations, businesses and individuals around Ross, the preview evening on Friday was attended by about 80 people and the event raised just over £3000. Thanks to everyone who took part, either by coming along, by entering a Christmas Tree or by making a donation to the funds.
This event happens every other year so we look forward to Christmas Tree Festival 2019.
Entering a tree in the 2019 festival
We welcome offers from any business, organisation or individual wishing to display a tree in the Festival. There’s no charge for this and no particular requirements other than that you bring it along and decorate it any time between 3.00 p.m. on the Thursday and lunch time on the Friday immediately preceding the event. If you’re entering a tree as an organisation or business please use it as a means of advertising your organisation by decorating the tree appropriately.
